TURKSAT 6A is Turkey&rsquo;s first communication satellite developed through domestic and national resources in Turkey. TURKSAT 6A Project began in 2014. Project partners are TUBİTAK SPACE, TUSAŞ, ASELSAN, and CTECH. TURKSAT 6A is planned to be launched in 2022 and orbited at 42&deg; Eastern Longitude. Following its commission in the orbit; the operator and owner of the satellite will be TURKSAT A.Ş.

Space Technologies This department is responsible for preparing/facilitating the plans, projects and other initiatives to enable the design, production and integration of all kinds of products, technologies, systems, facilities, tools and instruments on space and aeronautics including satellites, launching equipment and systems, aircrafts and simulators and space platforms. 
 Turkish Space Agency supports all the activities carried out on space, astronomy and aeronautics sciences on the national level.
 Projects which are carried out/are being carried out in Turkey but not under the responsibility of the Turkish Space Agency or other institutions.
